Headshot has most of it already.

You mentioned 'CiA' more than once, as well as other key words such as 'organiser' all of which makes it look as you were speaking on behalf of CiA.

The tone is hectoring and didn't yield to SH's comments, even where he concurred with you.

This was his event to run as he pleases and you shouldn't have told him how you were going to run it - he did invite suggestions though and tried to make an agreement which you didn't take up.

Of course, this was probably not your intention - but it certainly comes across as you know better than him, hence his last comment along the lines of 'OK, you do it then'

Worse still, this is how you come across on many of your open forum posts - carpeting the forum with black and white replies to posts that gives the impression to our punters of 'you ask the question - CiA give the answer'. We have many knowledgeable users of our forum equally well placed to give authoritative replies who should be allowed the chance to give their views as well.

I'm implying nothing

im stating that anyone who thinks that statement refers to all of cia and not rich and myself should read it again.

If you *really* think that mean si was referring to all of cia then yes steve i do question your command of the language as its quite clear i refer to two individuals opinion on a direction of a group.

However I dont think you really believe that and are stretching it to prove a point.

I dont want to argue semantics to be honest.

I'm being confrontational as i feel im being scapegoated for a stroppy player. I also feel that my opinions are not acredited the same weight as others as i'm being elitist by wanting things to in some way resemble WWII within a wwii group.

Mad eh?

meh... enough is enough... this is not going anywhere...

Gadge... you "may" have been a bit confrontational in your posts... lets not cry over spilt milk. It happens to us all... its the nature of the email/pm/forum medium that we are misunderstood more easily.

Steve... independant of that, we are in agreement that Chris has overreacted ... lets leave it and see what happens.

I personally think that Chris has overreacted a lot... others think he has overeacted a little bit... whatever the case we are in agreement that he has. Lets not argue endlessly about it and just live and learn...

I'm about to go home now and then I'm out playing games for the night... I'll be back in the morning and I expect you all to have kissed and made up.

Sorry Dave i think you're completely wrong there.

Of course im going to mention cia and the direction i want it oto go in,its personal opinion, stated as such.

You and i clearly have very different views as to how this should go forwards.

As for 'black and white answers'

what on earth is the point of giving someone fuzzy half clear grey answers?

I'm not going to apoloise for answering questions i know the right answer to ffs...

If this carries on it wont just be stubble hopper we'll be losing form this gorup as i'm really about up to hear with it rightnow.

Dave we all have faults and we all have opinions on each other... shouting out what we think of each other, is not going to do any good to the group and will just drive us all apart.

Your post comes across as rather know-it-all as well...

Lets just calm down a minute... and try to remember why we're here. We do have a common goal... lets remember to progress it.

This discussion is not helping.

With that I really must go now.

OK, one last time for clarity....

I'm not saying it's my opinion as I've said in all the posts so far. I'm saying it's how it could be construed and misconstrued by a casual, objective observer and by the person you are directing it towards. Namely Chris.

You posted the PMs to show us what you had said and so we could see why Chris might have misunderstood you.

I've posted explaining why I think Chris has reacted, and yes, overreacted, to what you've said.

If you don't understand why Chris has reacted the way he does then you need to look more critically at your writing style because he obviously has misunderstood you because of that.

Of course I come across as know-it-all Richard - I'm outraged that Gadge has yet again managed to piss off our punters and still can't see where he is going wrong. It's causing terrible damage to the public perception of our organisation...

Sorry i've upset webby who was blatantly in the wrong wrong and i've upset Chris who we agree was over reacting.

Sorry i was under the impression we all did this together Dave , not that it was your show and i had to be careful what i said or did in case you were cross?

We're not a business, were a hobby, i'm entitled to my opinions and im entitle d to voice them.

If you're really that unhappy, vote me out, if thats the ridiculous lengths its come to.

Lets nto forget our key objectives

TO PUT ON WWII EVENTS WE WANTED TO PLAY AT

and to do 'authentic wwii events'

Coming as a Us marine to NWE was not authentic, 90s tactics is not authentic & joshs game isnt either ... so tell me where i have it wrong form the main reason we do this?

With all due respect Dave i'm rather tired of being patronised by you.

I'm probably more unhappy that n you are right now trust me.

I've said it before and i'll say it again. It's not necessarily what is said, its the way it's said.

From a punters perspective, any time one of us posts something, we're not just representing ourselves, we're considered to be speaking on behalf of the whole of CiA, like it or not, thats how it goes.

We've been here before too many times Gareth . In the flesh and on the field you are a great bloke, but on this forum your manner and attitude are proving ot be more of a liability than an asset to the organisation as a whole . I had hoped after all the crap we'd gone through last month, that things had settled down and normal service resumed, but todays events have just proved that the lie. You ahve casued us a great deal of damage today

I think it best if you agree to step down as an organiser of CiA . I would still welcome you at our events and hopefully leading teams across the field, but as a player/member not an organiser.

I'm sure you'll realise that I've not posted this in a random manner , and that to force it to a vote would only reveal the extent ot which others agree with this view. Better ot step down gracefully I'd suggest .

oh god... ffs stop.

Start to think what each of you are doing...

Is this really worth breaking up CiA for... Because I know for a fact it won't go nicely.

We have built up too much to let it go now.

I've been thinking about this a lot. I really don't need this shit. I have enough fucking Airsoft related politics and crap to deal with on my AI job, let alone the politics and BS of my 9-5 Job.

As stated on another thread, the tents of CIA are:

Organise WW2 games that follow a 'film-sim' principle (restricted ammo, authentic uniforms and weapons, period props) giving a high degree of suspension of belief

Clear and consistent rules for CiA and CiA supported games

Encourage site owners to run like-minded WW2 games

Create a hub for WW2 airsofters to share their enthusiasm

Forge links between suppliers, sites and players

Keep an 'friendly and inclusive' approach rather than 'elitist and stitch-counting'

IMHO, they are spot on, and if this cant be stuck to then people should go back to being a player. Do I think that the obvious division that's occurred recently will heal itself? No.

I'm afraid the time has come to force the issue. There is no reason to bring everything we have done to it's knees. Your position has become untenable, especially as you don't take a single thing you are being told on board Gadge. I might well be patronising, but I do care about what we have achieved and what we are teetering on the edge of losing.

Personally I would rather see an amicable agreement to this.

I do see some rather strong opinions being voiced here, and I have some of my own, which generally agree with those of Guy and Dave. However, I do think asking for a vote is somewhat heavy-handed.

Gadge, I just don't understand why you can't see that what you've said could be perceived as negative and aggressive, and even belittling.

We are all in general agreement with how things should be run, but there have been one or two occasions when personal opinions have been given to represent CiA that aren't in-keeping with the general consensus. This needs to be put in check.

Perhaps there should be a period of reflection and cooling off before any big decisions are made.
